NIST 8473 to the Rescue: EV Charging Standards Being Hacked in Pwn2Own

Posted on in Presentations

Pwn2Own Automotive 2025 exposed 25 zero-day vulnerabilities across six EV chargers. This session will look at one compromised model for an in-depth case study and mapped the attack surface and scenario to the corresponding requirements in ISO 15118-20, IEC 62443,  UN ECE R155, and NIST IR 8473, allowing us to gauge how completely—or incompletely—current regulations cover the real-world vectors.
